Filesize of pdf reports and problems with automatic sending of reports

Hi Guys,

when analyzing (uhhh needed google to find the correct spelling) complains from larger customers about not receiving regular reports by email i am again and again stucked at the huge filesize of Wialon PDF Reports.

I did some tests and really easy easy Reports already have a filesize of 1MB (where the same data in form of a Excel file is just 6KByte (not maps etc inside, just tables).

If i have now 100 Units and want to create a report for this its impossible.

But as there is no WARNING or ERROR messages, customers just call us and ask "why we dont receive the report".

I think this is something serious to make better in Wiaolon:

- create better (size effective) pdf files in reports
- use some basis analysis of the report to give a warning "your estimated filesize of the report will be larger xy megabyte, please have in mind that your mail provider typicaly does only allow filesize smaller xx MB"
- on problems of sending mails do some kind of notification that there was a problem.

Anybody else using automatic sending of pdf reports for a larger amount of units and can give me ideas how to organize that?
