Hi everybody!
During this perfect sunny day our development branch of Wialon Hosting received some nice new features listed below.
CMS Manager got extended version of filtering possibility for various types of objects. For example now it is possible to display only blocked accounts.
For integrators now it is possible to view and manage list of authorized applications for their users.
And yes, as Wolf, our valuable partner from Germany that did so much help to many users of this forum, asked us long ago now we did it - automatically switch to LBS (gsm cells based coordinates detection) when GPS satellites are not available. This is activated in Advanced tab of unit settings in the filtering section.
Works pretty simple - when there is no possibility for GPS chip to determine the position, but we know current connected GSM cell information, the system will store in the message coordinates of this cell tower. They won't influence any precise calculations like mileage and won't work in notifications, but users will be able to view the track on the map.
Also Wialon Hosting monitoring system will switch to coordinates from LBS automatically when GPS is lost by the unit, this is independently on setting above.
Going further with 3G/4G connectivity providers - now it is possible to stream video received from device in all places where is currently possible to view the pictures. Please e-mail us to hw@gurtam.com in order to receive list of currently supported device with video-recording features or to integrate this functionality into new/existing devices.
In sensor calculation table now it is possible to specify bounds not only for raw parameter values, but also to calculated one. For example, for fuel level sensor in the past you was able only to filter mV values sent by tracker and now you may also specify the volume of tank for filtering invalid sensor values.
All these new features will be available to all Wialon Hosting users at first day of next summer and now you may use development branch to play with them.
Wish you nice weather (like now in Minsk) whenever you are!
