Extend the request function in notifications with 'Headers'

Тема: Extend the request function in notifications with 'Headers'

The request function in Notifications is a great way to control external platforms and web services from Wialon. This can be done by means of a POST or a GET request. After that a url can be filled in and a body can be created.

Nowadays more and more platforms that use a REST api ask for Header information that cannot be sent in the url. This limits the number of external web services that can be controlled from Wialon. Is it possible to expand this function in the short term with an 'add headers' function? That would help us enormously.

Examples of what we now use POST request in notifications are:
- Sending Text To Speach (TTS) messages.
- Sending SMS messages
- Starting up alarm scenarios in alarm centres
- Sending Custom Field information when entering Geofence zones
etc.

Many thanks in advance. Keep me posted!

Re: Extend the request function in notifications with 'Headers'

Hello Secure2Go,

We cannot allow any custom headers to be set, but we can allow Authorization, Content-Type, as well as headers that start with X- *. Can you tell me if this will cover your cases? If not, please specify what else you need.
