Topic: Configuring Earlier and Later Intervals in the Reports

Hello,
We have one new request for the reports.

Problem:
We have some clients that wants to know the earlier time that the units started a trip (sometimes the engine) and the later time that the units ended a trip, but the total value of all the units isn't coming with the earlier and later trip times, it is coming with the first trip inicial time and last trip final time.

Solution:
Create in the classification configurations of the report a checkbox to alternate between the first/last trip or the earlier/later trip time.

Users:
Will be able to know quickly the earlier and the later trips of every unit. This allow them for knowing if a vehicle has worked before/after it was able to and already know the time.

Configuring Earlier and Later Intervals in the Reports

Re: Configuring Earlier and Later Intervals in the Reports

Hello hasan.ahmed,
Didn't worked here, but anyways, trips would be better because our trips are configured for the vehicle to have some displacement, so if the vehicle just turn on the ignition at night or early morning, it won't appear in the report.

Re: Configuring Earlier and Later Intervals in the Reports

Hello Fernando Brochetto,

I apologise for the delay, but your question has not been ignored.

Am I to understand, that you want to display the earliest and latest time in the grouping line in the Trip report, for example, for a week, according to chronology without reference to the date (see screenshot)?

If it's true, please, tell me, in what cases do you want to use this option? For what analysis is this useful?

Configuring Earlier and Later Intervals in the Reports

Re: Configuring Earlier and Later Intervals in the Reports

Hello mana,
Yes, that's what I need: instead of appearing 03:24:23 the report should have the value of 00:33:44, the latest time is correct. But if a driver ends a trip in the next day, the report should present the value with the yyyy-mm-dd as 354-NYH, as it already is.

It's very common that clients wants to know when a driver has started and finished to ride in a day. As they have lots of vehicles generally, they want this in a table very quickly. Today you have to detail the report to find the earliest and latest time, so this request would solve this need, the table should show these times. For calculating an estimate time of working hours, some clients do sometimes the math of latest time - earliest time too.

Re: Configuring Earlier and Later Intervals in the Reports

Hello mana ,
For example, here in Brazil if a driver works between 22 and 05 hours, he gets an extra of 20%.
There is also drivers that parks the vehicle of the company every day inside their houses: as generally they work visiting clients, they doesn`t have to drive trought the company, so they need to know if the vehicle has started to work between 07:20-07:40 and finished between 17:30-18:00.
These two examples are very common cases.
So with this new feature, they can control this very easy knowing when they started and finished to work.

Re: Configuring Earlier and Later Intervals in the Reports

Fernando Brochetto,

thanks for your cases. I will note this proposal in Wialon Hosting backlog.
As you can see, other partners have not yet supported your request. As you already know, we include in the plan tasks that will be useful and valuable to at least several partners. If other partners support your idea and add some cases from real life, we can increase issue priority.
