Topic: Certification: Wialon Hosting Manager

Hi Friends,

We are starting a new section that will be on Wialon Hosting Manager certification. This is a place to discuss your experience of taking this certification, as well as to clarify certain procedural questions.

The following would be an advantage:

Experience of working with Wialon Hosting (1 year and more); knowledge of terminology and the system capabilities; knowledge of the documentation sections "Management System" (http://docs.gurtam.com/en/hosting/cms/cms) and "Monitoring System" (http://docs.gurtam.com/en/hosting/user/user).

You can attend our course "Wialon Hosting Manager" and study the forum topics.

The certification specifically focuses on the such topics as:
Messages, Notifications, Jobs, Routes, Reports, practical tasks, Monitoring Interface, CMS.

Is certification carried out in one go or can participants do it by modules? For example certification in Monitoring, Notification management, Unit management etc

This allows a differentiation between a user certification, manager Certification and an administrator certification.

We have 3 separate certifications "Wialon Hosting Manager", "Wialon Pro Administrator", "Developer Wialon Remote API".

Wialon Hosting Manager is a unified test that includes all the modules for Wialon Hosting.  It certifies managers (operator-manager level). There is no administration for Hosting, the administration is on Gurtam side.

Wialon Pro Administrator is the only certification for Wialon Pro.

Developer Wialon Remote API certifies developer skills of developers that work both with Wialon Hosting and Wialon Pro.

The test includes all the topics mentioned. Yet, they do not come as separate modules. All of the topics are included in a single test. So, once you add a test and start taking it you will have quesions on Monitoring, Unit configurations, Notifications, etc. If you have more questions, please let us know here or send an email to training@gurtam.com.

As some of you might have heard we are currently at the final stage of working on the new certification. Along with the new tests we decided to implement a whole new approach for the certificates themselves. One do not need anymore to go through the test and get positive or negative result. Now almost any can pass the tests successfully and receive a certificate reflecting their current knowledge level:

Level 1 — general knowledge of the GPS monitoring systems. Understanding of the client's requirements. Basic understanding of the hardware (retailers, partnership program).
Level 2 — Level 1 + knowledge of the Wialon documentation and ability to quickly find the required information. Can provide consultations on the modules and features (sales and marketing teams)
Level 3 — Level 2 + an understanding of the core algorithms, interconnections of different modules in Wialon. Can provide correct steps to resolve technical issues (business development manager, technical support specialist)
Level 4 —  Level 3 + can quickly resolve advanced tasks in different fields: fuel, eco driving, service hierarchy (administrators, technical support)

The new certification will be a part of our new training site where we will try to focus on the self-education.

The site includes the following partitions:
- Courses
- Tests
- Library

Courses:

  • Easy to use
  • Modular structure
  • Ability to restrict access
  • Activities (small tests and polls)
  • Different formats: txt, .pdf, .doc, video

Tests:

  • Modular structure
  • Complex approach to value the results (scoring system, module weight)
  • The questions and answers are randomized every time you run a new test
  • Opened questions (can be checked manually by a teacher)
  • Multi-level certification

Library:

  • A place to store your books or any other useful materials
  • Search and filtration tools
  • «My docs» - add your favorite files into one place

hhamedk I have described a new certification system. So yes, anyone who passes the test will receive a certificate.
Please note certification is provided on the paid bases only.
But you can pass a training test for free at training.gurtam.com

I work on wialon 1 year ago, but i receibe 33% of correctly answers in the practise of certification tongue


In the "practise of certification" i have more 3 answer. THe correctly is only 1, or have more correctly options?

Do you have a knoledge about the prise of certification? or is free if i'm client of wialon platform?

So, are there levels of certification actually?

The result helps you understand how wide and how deep you understand Wialon.
If you pass test for 100%, it means that you know all the features of the system. We've got no 100% results for 1,5 years.

Number of correct options in a question can be from 1 to all. Only if all the options are chosen, question is answered correctly.
