Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

Тема: Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

as you know Starcomsystems products  have  a special protocol, where the products don't points to the Wialon server IP:PORT directly, we  have to use a special routing server which forward the the received packets as UDP packets  to the Wialon server.

we have maked an agreement with Starcomsystems  and we got the license to be able to configure the UDP packets forwarding to the Wialon server and this issue resolved successfully, i have about 16 Helios units working probably on Wialon server,,

now, a problem had faced me when i decide to add watchlock units to the system, how can i configure the UDP packets forwarder through the EIA tab in the routing application which is already configured by port of Helios Port number

the attached files contains screenshots of UDPConfigurations, ConnectedUnits and ForwardedUDPPacketsMessages

how could i configure the routing application to resend the received watchlock packets as an UDP packets to my Wialon local server.

and thank you in advance.

Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

Re: Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

Mohammed if you point the device to Helios port 20613, in Wialon should be Helios device type in the unit setting.
If you choose Watchlock device -- you should point the data to   Watchlock port 20855

Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

Re: Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

Mr. Viktor

firstly, thank you for your response.

Helios units configured to point to RouterServerIPAddress : with the port 6600

and

Watchlock units configured to point to RouterServerIPAddress : with the port 6600

and then the EIA tab in the router application configured to forward received packets as an UDP packets to WialonLocalServerIPAddress : with the port 20613 for helios units. and is working probably.

My question here, how could i configure the router application to forward the packets which is received from watchlock  to  WialonLocalServerIPAddress : with the port 20855, i couldn't to add new UDP hosts in EIA Tab with the mentioned parameters.

just how can i add it?

And thank sire

Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

Re: Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

Mohammed We don't know how to configure Routing application because usually Starcom sets up all the settings.
But if you have helios device and it work good -- you can use the same settings as Helios for Watchlock  and choose Helios in the unit settings of Wialon.
Everything should work fine (because it's the same protocol of routing EAI)

Re: Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

xhoineo Devices should be ordered from Starcom exactly for using third-part platforms such as Wialon.

For such devices you should ask Starcom support to give you the roting software.
Nobody else can do it except Starcom.

P.S. if your devices work with Starcom platforms now -- it's impossible 100%

Re: Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

yavi  I have Starcom Routing Software. I never ordered devices for third-part platforms, but as I search the internet, I can route from the software to your servers. But, I need the instructions to do this

Re: Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

yavi  Unfortunately no. I asked them the latest update to see if it was added as a function. But no. Do you have the software with the "EAI" function?

Re: Starcomsystems (Helios - Watchlock) support/configuration

xhoineo EAI it's exact decryption function.
Please ask them to add it for working with Wialon.
Without this feature we can't parse the data.
