Ruptela FM 4 Devices

Тема: Ruptela FM 4 Devices

Hi all,

we do have server Ruptela FM-Devices, and we want to use the Custom Command Features set (Tacho Download, Firmware Update, Config Update...).

But the Problem is that the Command Button is only green for a few seconds and we have to catch the right moment to execute a specific command for a device, which isn't really working.

Should we increase Link Timeout for the Devices (tried setting the timeout to 300, but to no avail). Maybe we should set it to zero? Or do we need an Public IP Address for this to work?

Thanks for any Information on this subject,

Re: Ruptela FM 4 Devices

axpdreamer  First of all, you can use type of commnd "virtual"
It means that Wialon will transmit the command as soon as device will be available.
Also you can change the time of TCP session in Ruptela settings.

And there is a nuance about remote downloading of Tacho files via Ruptela. Please read the article here:

Thanks.

Re: Ruptela FM 4 Devices

Hi to everyone!
We’ve added an opportunity to download Ruptela devices configuration (for Wialon Hosting). The command type: get_cfg.
Run the command, then the download process will start. After the file is downloaded, you can look it through using disketta app.
Find the necessary unit, the file is in ‘Protected’ folder. The file name contains device id and timestamp in UTC format.
Please note that we the file is downloaded in .txt extension. To start working with the Ruptela configurator, please change the file extension according to the existing device type. For example, for Pro4 the extension will be fp4c.
