Backing on Departure Event

Тема: Backing on Departure Event

Hello- Has anyone a method for creating an event for a vehicle "backing on departure".  Have a company wanted to report exceptions to safety practice of backing into parking spots upon arrival or avoid parking where backing will be required.  We would then include in Ecodrive scoring.  Thank you.

Backing on Departure Event

Re: Backing on Departure Event

Hello Wolf, Let me explain better.  The notification is for an event where the driver must back up the vehicle after parking, exiting the vehicle and making a delivery of sorts.  The company's safety protocol is for the driver to avoid having to back the vehicle out of parking spaces.

Thank you kindly.

Greg so the vehicle has to be parked front to exit so he drives straight out not reverses out right?

John, That is correct.  They are currently using a platform that is recording this event, not sure how.  Thank you.

Backing on Departure Event

Re: Backing on Departure Event

There should be some logical marker, that can help system to recognize such "backing on departure" event.
This marker can't be connected with parameter "course", because correct course will be different for every delivery point. I mean, that this event can't be easily recognized based only on GPS data.
Probably, there is some sensor in the vehicle, that changes value, when car is in reverse gear. In that case solution is easy: notification with geofence and sensor value control.
