Topic: Testing: Overall modification of the monitoring panel
Here it comes – Gurtam started implement changes in Wialon system. After redesigning icons and rearranging fuel settings we felt ready to overall modification of the monitoring panel in Wialon beta version.
So let’s see what you get:
...and speak about it in more details.
Text contents under a unit name
So what you get with optimized text display in the monitoring panel? More free space to work with reports and elements on the map. For the extended monitoring panel not to consume additional space we added an option to display text information under a unit name, instead of a separate column. You can choose from address, geofence, driver name, phone number, or trailer name (one at a time).
Thus, you get more free space – the only thing left to do is to start using Wialon beta-version.
Customizable width of text columns
Whenever you have more than one column of the type, just click and pull the line between columns to expand one of those against another. At that, minimal width of other columns will always be the same, which makes text information more perceivable. View and acquire more information in Wialon beta-version.
Geofences instead of addresses
"Geofences as addresses" functionality has become available in the monitoring panel and now you can even choose groups of elements, similar to "Geofences as addresses" option in reports. If a unit moves through several geofences, all of them are displayed one by one based on their area. Consider groups of geofences to be useful? This function will definitely save your time on targeting unit location.
Moreover, we’ve changed geofence icon in “Address” tool.
“Zoning” has been added to Settings dialog visually splitting it into blocks, which enhances data perception. What’s more, we’ve rearranged settings order for you to find the necessary point faster.
Got to used to unit sorting by a certain parameter? Now you can be sure that it remains unchanged when you start the new session. To always keep you informed on the type of sorting we added arrows near the icon in the header.
Unfortunately, you can’t use the option in “Address” column.
The new icons sparked off conversations, so we continued to advance them and started with “Data Accuracy” icon. If the latest message received is dated (according to movement state settings), the first column in the icon turns grey. If messages from unit are missing at all, the system makes both the columns grey. Stay informed on inactive units!
