Sending Commands on Wialon Mobile V.2

Topic: Sending Commands on Wialon Mobile V.2

I asked if the mobile version supported sending commands but they told me that Commands are not supported on the mobile version.

I believe it could be usefull to send online Commands through the Mobile V.2 (iphone, Android) Version of Wialon.

I am proposing that the developers implement the option of sending Commands on the Mobile V2. Vertion of Wialon.

I agree that this would be a very powerful tool as the clients have been constantly asking us when they will be able to send commands to

Disable Vehicle

Enable Vehicle

Lock or Unlock

Change Reporting Intervals

Etc....

I would be more than happy to be a beta tester for these features

Sending Commands on Wialon Mobile V.2

Re: Sending Commands on Wialon Mobile V.2

I think the mobile interface needs a lot of enhancement but sending commands from a mobile device from within the application is mandatory as more users are going to mobile platforms and the the web based application is not always a good way to visualise the devices. Enhancement of an interface like the one developed by Garage GPS or TrackingM are going in the right direction.

Commands can be SMS based unles there is a mechanism in the application to show when the unit is online or the GPRS command can be stored and then transmitted to the device when it does come on line.

that is why we're NOT planning to invest much time in our Mobile interface. Our friends from Garage, Arusnavi and a few others are doing a great job.

And our mobile application - Dashboard is the one we gonna pay most of our attention to.

I think that is the right way to go. I contacted Garage GPS via their web site but have not got a response. If you can let me know an email address that would be great. The market here for mobile apps is big as most users monitor from mobile devices. Problem with the demo apps is the majority of it is in Russian so i can get a good feel for what is being shown.

I did not know that the dashboard was downloadable to mobile devices until i got your link as there is no mention on the web site, this makes it awesome. Are ther other apps that can be down loaded to mobile devices? Like the driver management, idrivesafe ?
