Commands channel

Topic: Commands channel

Hello,

http://prntscr.com/ifhlkq

why is not set just AUTO like TCP / UDP / SMS / "no gprs" ¿¿

I mean, here is telling me: if device is on GPRS put "auto" if device is not on GPRS put "virtual".

How do I know that they are connected to gprs or not?

Support tells me "if it is set in Virtual, and device is on gprs, it will not work".

¿?¿?¿? I do not understand sorry...

my request: add virtual mode to "automatic"

thanks

Re: Commands channel

Pablo,
if device is connected you can see in the monitoring tab on commands that it says a green "gprs"

But virtual commands really not stable... and you can store only one command, if you add new command and old command not set = old command overwritten...

But i have also no idea how to do it better!

So for devices where we need to send automaticaly commands we let them not go to sleep mode and have them always send data

Re: Commands channel

I set devices to send every 1 min (stop/moving).

commands are sent 9.00h. and 19 h. so it should be ok....

why not option to set same channels in one?

Thanks

Re: Commands channel

You can use flespi as middleware between devices and Wialon. In flespi commands are delivered by GPRS once device is connected and identified. You also have possibility to manage list of pending commands.

Re: Commands channel

Here is workflow. Configuration button and commands availability depends on the device and protocol. You can explore list of settings commands available for each device type in devices and additional commands available for management(the subject of this thread) at protocols.
