Notification - Support multi sensor or parameter

Topic: Notification - Support multi sensor or parameter

Hello,
1. Some device uses 2 or more parameters to identify the event type and source of the event.
Such as an event "button pressed" of Multi-Sense of the device type "Cello Track Nano". It will send data into 2 parameters. 1 parameters for MAC address of Multi-Sense, and another parameter for event code. So we need to use 2 parameters/sensors in a notification to identify which Multi-sense is pressed the button.
2. Able to add any sensor/parameter into notification message.
like a custom field we can add any custom field into the notification message by using %CUSTOM_FIELD(*)%, but we can not do the same thing with sensor or parameter.

Please consider

Notification - Support multi sensor or parameter

Re: Notification - Support multi sensor or parameter

Hello. Sorry for being so slow with an answer.
The solution for using several parameters can be:
Create sensors and use a sum of parameters. Then create a table of the result and its meanings. And use this sensor in notifications.
Theoretically, it should solve the issue. But to know exactly we need more complete example.

On the second point we are planning to add a tag SENSOR(*), then you could set a mask.

This feature is available for the latest update. Set the tag %SENSOR(*)% and define in brackets sensors names, that you need.

Re: Notification - Support multi sensor or parameter

Hi tata

Thank you very much for your update. I tested and found that some times the sensor information which set in tag %SENSOR(*)% doesn't appears in notification windows. I will write email to support team.

Re: Notification - Support multi sensor or parameter

This seems like a good idea that can be used for other device types as well
